I made this one during my last trip to Minnesota and then left it alone for a while.

I kept looking at it, wondering whether it needed more. There’s a lot happening in a small space: a strong pull from one side, quieter passages on the other, and something that feels just out of reach.

Eventually I realized the tension was the point.

Nothing needed resolving.

The title came later: Just Beyond.
